HB Elite Skills: Barn Burner Clinic

Get ready for a summer long, high energy, high intensity hockey clinic. Thirty minutes of on-ice skills, and then 30 minutes of a full ice scrimmage. Get registered!

On-Ice Skills: 30 Minutes (Players)

We’ll start with 30 minutes of skills to build upon everyone’s hockey foundation. The intense skills portion will focus on level appropriate training. The skills portion may include edge work, footwork, cross overs, skating mechanics, transitional skating, skating backwards, hockey speed, puck skills and passing.

On-Ice Skills: 30 Minutes (Goalies)

Goalies will work with a goalie coach for 30 minutes on goalie specific that focus on lateral movements, behind the net situations, screen shots, and more. Drills are designed to optimize training and development for goalies.

Full Ice Scrimmage: 30 Minutes

We’ll end with a full-ice scrimmage. 5v5, 4v4 and 3v3, it’s all fair game during the full ice scrimmage portion of the Barn Burner Clinic. Players will be challenged to work as a team, and goalies will utilize their skills while they face high intensity game play.

Three Sessions Available

  • Mite Level: Wednesday nights from 5:15 - 6:15pm (Mite = 2017/2016)

  • Squirt/Peewee Levels: Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30pm (Squirt = 2015/2014, Peewee = 2013/2012)

  • Bantam/High School Levels: Wednesday nights from 7:45 - 8:45pm (Bantam = 2011/2010, High School = 2009 - 2006)

The clinic is limited to 26 skaters and four goalies. Skaters and goalies will be randomly divided into teams for full-ice games.

Lead Barn Burner Coaches

Greg Moskonas (Skater Coach) will lead the 30-minutes of skater skills. Greg is a hockey skills instructor and has over 15 years of coaching experience including six years with the AAA level in both Milwaukee and Chicago, and assistant coach with the KMMO Varsity and JV programs. Greg is an ambassador of hockey, and loves to teach and train athletes of all levels. He believes in 100% skills development on, and off the ice, challenging young athletes to achieve their best, and that playing hockey and working hard to reach goals can be translated into skills that they can apply later in life.

Jason Cooke (Goalie Coach) will lead the 30-minutes of goalie skills. Jason played goalie with the Ice Force until he graduated in 2019. He then played in Cambridge, MN for the Rum River Mallards, and then joined the Oregon Tradesmen in 2020. Additionally, Jason coached the goalies on the Muskego Ice Force for the 2022-2023 season. As a goalie coach, Jason focuses on good practice habits, competitive goaltending, and helping goalies to control their mind in order to stay focused under pressure situations.
